While SpaceX prepares for its first orbital launch using its Starship-Super Heavy rocket, it's also preparing for a future where they hope to launch dozens of times per day. To that end, the company unveiled plans for a new Starbase spaceport, this time located in Vermilion Parish, Louisiana. SpaceX President and Chief Operating Officer Gwynne Shotwell joined with Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry and Louisiana Economic Development Secretary Susan Bourgeois to announce scope of the 125,000-acre site along with a broad overview of the development timeline and plans for their environmental impact.
