Monday’s Russian anti-satellite test is being called a ‘dangerous and irresponsible’ act that threatens astronauts. I interviewed Harvard astrophysicist Jonathan McDowell about the consequences of this ASAT test, and he walks me through a brief history of other ASAT tests with long-term consequences and space debris that still exists today because of those tests.
