Where Is Laika’s Sputnik 2 Now?

Laika's spacecraft doesn't exist anymore. On the 14th of April, 1958, Sputnik 2 burned up over the Atlantic with her body still inside, five months after she died.
For 45 years, the official story of how she died wasn't true. We follow Sputnik 2 from a freezing launch pad in Kazakhstan to a secret report to the Central Committee, a CIA memo titled "Sputnik II, With or Without Dog?", and a cargo ship that reported the reentry as an unidentified object. Then we find the dogs who flew after her and came home, and where you can still see them today.
