Earth From Space: Florida & U.S. City Lights at Night from the ISS in 8K | Sep 19, 2026

See the United States after dark from the International Space Station. City lights spread across the landscape, and the outline of Florida comes clearly into view before this 8K timelapse continues toward the Caribbean and northern South America. This video was created from 2,017 sequential photographs taken on September 19, 2026. The photographed ground track passes over the United States, the Bahamas, Haiti, the Dominican Republic, Venezuela, Brazil, and Guyana. The route follows the photographs’ ground coordinates, so every country may not be clearly visible in the frame. The photographs were taken during Expedition 75. The seven people aboard were station commander Jessica Meir; NASA astronauts Jack Hathaway and Anil Menon; ESA astronaut Sophie Adenot; and Roscosmos cosmonauts Andrey Fedyaev, Pyotr Dubrov, and Anna Kikina. Meir, Hathaway, Adenot, and Fedyaev arrived on February 14, 2026; Menon, Dubrov, and Kikina arrived on July 14. Around the time of this flight, the crew was working on electronics manufacturing, crew health research, and lunar landing simulations. On September 19, a Progress cargo spacecraft docked with roughly three tons of supplies. Timelapse duration: approximately 1:21.
