Roman Telescope could change our understanding of the universe says NASA chief

NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman spoke with Spaceflight Now's Will Robinson-Smith just hours after the launch of the agency's newest orbiting observatory, the Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope atop a SpaceX Falcon Heavy rocket on August 30, 2026. The $4.3 billion mission is expected to open a new window on the cosmos, shedding new light on the nature of mysterious dark matter and dark energy, revealing potentially habitable new planets, and drawing a new atlas of the Universe with wide-field views.
