Blue Origin spent summer 2026 mostly in a heads down posture as recovery from the May 28 New Glenn explosion continues.
The middle of the year was highlighted by pad cleanup milestones and the unveiling of a hybrid horizontal/vertical process for launching its New Glenn rockets once the pad at Launch Complex 36A is restored to an operational posture. Simultaneously on the launch front, Blue Origin continues to develop Launch Complex 36B, which will host the launches of the larger and more powerful New Glenn 9×4 rocket.
